Worked explanation

• Evaluate f(3)

  \[y(3) = 14\]

• Differentiate and evaluate at x0

  \[\dfrac{dy}{dx} = 2 x + 1, \quad m = 7\]

• y - y0 = m(x - x0)

  \[y = 7 x - 7\]
